Burgess Hill new fire engine was called into action on Sunday. An outbreak of fire was discovered in a garage at the rear of the Brewers Arms, London road, The licensee Herbert Broyd telephoned for the fire brigade, but the fire was practically under control by the time the fire engine aarrived.
