Chichester Observer. 04 March 1925
ChichesterLicensing - Mr Sharpe on behalf of the brewers, Messrs Hoar & Co, owners of the Nags Head beer house, St Pancras, applied for permission to transfer to it the publicans license now held in respect of the Market Tavern (which they have purchased from the Rock Brewery, Brighton), and to surrender the beer license. The effect would be that the Market Tavern would cease to exist, and the Nags Head would be a fully licensed establishment as a substantial amount of money had been spent on completely refurbishing the Nags Head, of which Mr C E Moon was the licensee.
Mr G W Henshaw of the Market Tavern intimated that he was agreeable to the removal of the license. Allocation granted subject to a full licensing bench in a months time.
