Mid Sussex Times. 21 November 1996
Paul Daniels and wife Debbie McGee reopened the Peacock Inn at Piltdown.
The pub has undergome a year long renovation after most of the building was devastated by fire last November. Landlord Matthew Arnold and his wife invited 130 people to the special celebration last Monday and their first week of business has been a roaring success. Matthew used to attend dance school with Debbie McGee and has remained close friends.
The pubs renovation has cost £275,000.
