Until 1837 this pub was called The Brisco Arms. Musgrave Brisco was once Hastings' Conservative MP and a new landlord changed the pub's name for political reasons. Closed in 2009 *** Address given in 1851 as West Hill. This pub was established in 1835 as the Brisco Arms and was renamed the Angel in 1837. It closed in 2009 and has been converted to private residential use. **
