at 69 St Georges Road in 1891; this may be an transcription error - in 1890 at the Castle is Wm Edinburgh Nash! This Street was renumbered at some time, so this took some finding. The pub no longer exists, although many local people recall it, but not when it was open. The site is now occupied by these dwellings. I have no idea when the pub closed, but it was probably in the 50s or 60s. It was certainly closed by the 70s. ***
