I'm searching my family who originated as far as I know from Ashford and thereabouts. I have an old photograph of a pub called The Kicking Donkey with a man standing in the doorway and the name above the door is: T W Rand which are the initials of my 3 x grandfather Thomas William Rand. I have found him listed in 1901 and 1911 census, both in Ashford, in alternative trades so far. ***
