Hastings pub history index
Address formerly 425 Old London Road. ** The original Oddfellows Arms was demolished in about 1929; and a new, much larger pub of the same name was built slightly to the south. This is currently the only pub to remain open in the centre of Ore Village. Two images of the original pub and one similar to this can be found here. There was once another Oddfellows Arms at Caves Road in St Leonards about three miles to the south west. I believe the name "Oddfellows" may have been derived from some sort of masonic lodge, but am unaware of any direct connection between this and the pub. *** This pub closed in 2012. **
