Hastings pub history index
In the 1897 Pyke's directory, this is listed as the Prince of Wales Beer House. It is by no means certain, but this address may at various times have been known as Bowra's Beer house (1840s) and/or The Prince of Wales (date unknown) and/or The Waterman's Arms (date unknown). All these establishments existed at one time or another in Pelham Street, but their house numbers are not known. ***
