The recently closed Queen Adelaide, West Street, Hastings and the long closed (and very tiny) Pelican also in West Street, Hastings, but listed in some documents as being in West Beach Street, and also listed as being in the Fishmarket, Hastings; were two completely different pubs on opposite sides of the road. They may have had the same landlord in the 1901 census. ***
