The annual fete of the Isfield Friendly Society was held on Wednesday, and after services in the church they sat down to a dinner served by Mrs Brooker of the Half Moon Inn.

The death of Job Allen of Rose Hill aged 81, one of the parishes oldest and best known residents. He formerly held the license of the Station Inn, then known as the Half Moon.
