Middle House - We understand that the famous 16th century half-timbered dwelling, known as the Middle House and one of te finest examples in Sussexof this type of building is to be opened as a hotel.
The Star Hotel, near by, and probably the oldest hostelry in the village is to be closed and the license transferred to the new hotel.
The outstanding features of the Middle House - its quaint exterior and its oak beamed and panelled interior - will not be spoilt.
