East Sussex Licensing Committee - Eight Licenses refused
The Compensation Authority under the Licensing Act 1904 referred for license refusal by way of compensation.
The Tower, Langdate, Rye, a fully licensed house owned by Messrs Chapman Bros Ltd, East Guildford; licensee James Taylor.
There were four licensed houses within 286 yards, one being within 32 yards and another within 64 yards.
The trade was steadily decreasing, and lasy year showed a considerable decrease. Committee refused the license, subject to compensation.
