St Leonards pub history index
The Comet was built in 1955 and its
licence was transferred from the Denmark Arms, 33 Pelham Street (see Hastings
listing), which was destroyed by wartime bombing.
Large beer garden at front and rear and children's play area at rear. Also
sheltered smoking area. Meals available and dining area. No special facilities
for the disabled, but I can't forsee any problems for wheelchair users other
than narrow doors. Live music on occasion. A nicely laid out pub. You have to
like this one as it's an awfully long walk to the next pub. ***
