Notes: Mary Jane Holder died on 3 February 1911 and no Innkeeper was named in the 1911 census which was taken on 2 April 1911.
This 17th century inn was at 72 High Street. At some time it became The Anglo Saxon and became a listed building, grade 11, in 1969; list entry number 1024705. (See Historic Enland website: ).
Later it was a curry house, then became The New Saxon – now a private house.
