My ancestor is Frederick George Thorp (1868-1940) who held various pubs in Birmingham throughout his working life. *
He took over the New Inn, Coventry Rd from his father George Thorp (1835-1909).
Later he had the Three Tuns Inn at Digbeth with John William Barlow (rate books).
I found he went on to the Lord Nelson, Skinner Lane.
