#William Mitchell bought a house in The Halve in 1856, and turned it into a
beer house called The Fox. He sold it to William Townsend and then, in
1870, by Townsend to John Summers, a butcher.
Other publicans resident were Edward Summers, from 1871-79; James Grant, from
1880-90; E R Baker in 1897; Mrs Cornish in 1902 and Joseph Davies in 1909.
In the 1911 census, Mary Davies is a widowed Licensed Victualler at the Fox.
Bradford brewery S. Ruddle and Sons closed it and converted it to two houses in 1916.
