Started life as a beerhouse, and by 1843 had become the Three Tuns. In 1863 it became the Bee Hive.

William Stabler, the landlord of the Beehive was summoned for permitting drunkenness. Mr Stabler explained that Cloak and another man came into his house shortly before P S Simpsons arrival. They asked to be supplied with drink, but he refused to draw them any, and asked them to leave. Case was dismissed.
