The history of the Flying Dutchman, 10 Grape lane, York

Previously a beerhouse called the Bloomsbury, named the Flying Dutchman by 1855. Both were names of race horses, this was owned by Lord Eglinton, and a derby winner as well as the St Leger. Last mentioned in 1867.
