The history of the Nags Head, 100 Micklegate, York YO1 6JX

A timber-framed house, which is now a public house for the best part of 200 years minimum. Front range c1530, added to 14th century rear range; extension c1700; refronted and remodelled in the 18th century when it became a public house; further alteration and extension in early 19th and 20th century. Front range 3 bays deep, with possible 2-bay hall at rear and extension in re-entrant.
