The Turf Tavern PH moved from The Hollies in 1897 to the newly built end of a terrace on Railway View. It was popular with the locals and due to the number of new housing developments it became too small to cater for everyone. Thus the Tavern moved again in the mid-1950s to Thanet Road and was demolished in 2014. *
