York Licensing Compensation Authority sat yesterday for four licenses the extinction of which was confirmed at the last meeting.
The Newcastle Inn, North street, Messrs J J Hunt (Limited), £1,330 was claimed, and £1,100 awarded, £100 to the tenant.
The Anchor Inn, Queens Staith, Messrs Bentley, Yorkshire Brewery Co, £531 6s was claimed, and £425 awarded.
British Tar, North street, Tadcaster Tower Brewery (Limited), £270 3s was claimd, and £220 awarded, with 10 per cent to the licensee.
The Turks Head, Kings square, Tadcaster Tower Brewery (Limited), £960 12s was claimd, and £800 awarded, with 10 per cent to the licensee.
