Deaths - On the 9th instance, at the Unicorn Inn, Lord Mayors Walk, aged 38, Mr Robert Atkinson, stonemason, of this city.

Rabbit Stealing - William Prince, labourer, Sheffield, a 2nd West Yotk Militiaman, was charged on remand with stealing two tame rabbits, the property of Charles Herbert, son of Mr C H Herbert of the Wellington Inn, Goodramgate, from the yard of the hostelry, on July 9th.
The same night the prisoner offered them for sale at the Unicorn Inn, Lord Mayors Walk and received 8 pence for then from a painter named William Johnson. Prince admitted the theft, and pleaded drink as an axcuse - Committed for seven days with hard labour.
