First recorded in 1857, when it was called The Victoria. The ending ‘Vaults’ was added by 1889. The pub was rebuilt in the 1920s or 1930s. In its original form it was sold in 1884, complete with a brewhouse, to a local wine and spirit merchant for £1,200.
