My grandmother was born Pauline Saunt Piggford and her mother Sarah Ann Saunt who married Thomas Henry Piggford at Mexborough.
Sarah Ann’s sister was May Evans (nee Saunt) who had married Charles Haddon Evans at Brimington near Chesterfield in 1893. So my great great-aunt. *

The 1911 Census shows Charles as the licenced victualler at 12 Main Street, Mexborough. Sadly he died 6.12.1913 aged only 44. Probate in Jan 1914 confirms the address as 12 Main Street and May as his widow and administrator. *
