In 1939 electoral register at Public House 57 Meadow Street, Sheffield are
Arthur Swinden, Wire Drawer (Licensee) (Heavy), born 08 Nov 1902
Alice Ann Swinden, Domestic Duties, born 19 Jun 1902

My mother Patricia Strickland (nee Lee) and father Ronald Strickland were at this address in March 1957. Both are now deceased;, but they were the licensee or managers in 1957. I believe from what my mother told me that they were the registered licensees. I do not know how long they stayed there as they divorced and separated, but probably until 4/6/1959 (unconfirmed). *
