7 May 1908/The Compensation List: The Lincolnshire Arms, Broad Lane, owned
by Messrs Henry Tomlinson Ltd, current licensee a William Robert Kirk. In
1905, there was a trade of £587 in draught beers, in 1906 - £676, and in
1907 the trade was £620. A suggestion that with the level of trade, and
another house immediately opposite was on the list, the licence might be
renewed. But the house was deemed unsuitable. The kitchen was the only
living room, and the tap room and dram shop were both very low and dark.
