Q in the Corner, Memorial Plaque to Samuel Goodlad - in December 2014
In this building, formerly a public house known as the Q in the Corner lived Samuel Goodlad - Musician and Philanthropist (c 1740 to 1790). By example he encouraged local blind musicians to form an organisation which demanded and maintained high standards of musical expertise. This group, the Blind Fiddlers of Sheffield continued to meet here up to the 1840s becoming a muck loved institution in the town.
