Whitechapel, the Baker & Basket, 16 Leman street 1816 to 1941

I have selected one random page of my pub history site in Whitechapel, which happens to have some interesting records. Ewans pubology site agrees the rough dates are correct, although these are only a guess, as I don’t have other records to add at present. Actually, he gets the dates from my research, it is one of the few pages he has not added records, he is a rather nice person!

Here are all the records for the Baker & Basket as listed on my site at present:

What I need to understand is should I alter each page to make the site more interesting?

I am not sure what welse I can do to make the site more interesting as regards factual events to confirm that this pub existed at specific times in its life, and the changes in licensees.

That’s it really.

I think I have probably answered my own question. Each individual licensee record is relevant to someone interested in that person. Most people just want a picture, and an approximation of dates that a pub is open. They do not have the intellect to absorb more than this, why should they want to?]

Over the coming years, I may make a change to the way the site is built, but at the present, I will just leave it as it is, it’s pretty amazing already.
