The Blue Posts, Laystall street in 1868 license transfer. This was at 10 Mount Pleasant in 1869 and earlier, before road renumbering. More recently a modern Pub called the Churchill was built on the same site.

My Grandad - Richard Bernard Tillcock - behind the bar at The Two Blue Posts, taken at the time of the blitz and the pub was thereafter structurally unsound. I remember it as a bomb site as were all the buildings running to its left. **

The Two Blue Posts was decimated in the WWII blitz - it was structurally unsound. l do remember the
buildings from 79 Mount Pleasant going away from Laystall street they were all
bombed. My father said that he was thrown down the stairs when the pub was hit
but luckily they survived I am not sure whether any customers died though. **
My grandparents lived in a flat in Gray's Inn Road and we lived at the Two Brewers. **
