Cambridge pub history index 2
This pub / hotel was demolished in 1969. In the mid-nineteenth century, at least, there was also a separately licensed Tap. From about 1851, this pub was referred to simply as the Lion Hotel. The 1881 census lists the address as at 28 Petty Cury. **
The Red Lion name is remembered in the Lion Yard Shopping Centre and in a street sign - in August 2010
