This was the Tap for the High Street Brewery, which was in production from 1866 to 1878. Afterwards it became associated with the nearby Star Brewery and was called the Star Brewery Tap from 1878 to 1899 at least (although there appears to have been another pub also called the Star Brewery Tap, in Watton Road). **
