It’s a little tricky to unravel
what exactly is going on here, but I think there was just one premises which was
referred to over time by a variety of names. It may have had a separately
licensed ‘Tap’ bar, or that might just have been an intermediate name between
Railway Tavern and Railway Hotel.
This pub also traded as the Railway Tavern and, latterly, as the Station Hotel by 1926. It closed in 1993 and is now
a private residence ***
