My grandparents, James Henry & Amelia Nellie Graves were the Landlord &
landlady of the Forest Hill Hotel from 1937 - 1955. They were also the
landlord & landlady of The Rising Sun, Bromley in 1922, but I'm still
trying to narrow down the dates. I believe there is also a connection to
The Two Trees in Hertford. By 1929 according to the BT Phone directory,
they are at the Samsons Castle
in Bermondsey. *
James Henry Graves and Amelia Nellie Graves - in 1915 (there is also a picture of them in 1955 as Publicans of the Year at the Forest Hill Hotel).
