I found George Henry Hilburn at the Shalders arms in the 1939 Kellys
directory for Medway towns; the address at that time is actually 218 Medway
road (confirmed on ordnance survey map). The Shalders arms was listed as 99
Pier road, Gillingham in the 1881 census. Pier road and Medway road are
adjoined, they run into each other, so that might be the source of "99" on
this page as the address. The Shalders Arms was in a long terrace called
Shalders terrace, and there's also Shalders cottage to the rear !
