First-rate Tavern, Gravesend, Kent. The lease for 19 years at a very low rent, of the Pope's Head, Gravesend, situated near the new pier, with a feee landing and stairs, commanding views on the river, and every convenience for a first rate business.
Oswald Overton Widdrington, Robin Hood, Millbank, Westminster is named in the Robson's London Directory for 1830. **
He'd moved to Gravesend by 1835 occupying the Pope's Head Tavern. His marriage to Naomi Kennett is noted in the newsppaers.
His father Richard had the Waterloo Arms, George Street, Camberwell until his death in 1841 and his brother William the Victoria Tavern, Choumert Road, Peckham.
Richard was also elected chair of the Licensed Victuallers Assylum committee in 1837
