Inquest into the death of Mr Edmund Henry Howard Eldridge, licensee of the High Brooms Hotel. Main witnesses were his widow, and also her brother Harold George Knight of the Greyhound Hotel, Tunbridge Wells.
He had made acquaintance after the war, and did not know which regiment he had served in. He had then married his sister.
Mr Eldridge had been employed as manager of a drapers establishment in Eastbourne until within five years ago, when he relinquished the position owing to ill health. H became licensee of the High Brooms Hotel in 1923.
