The birth records of Charles and Nellie Walker indicate that their father William Walker and his wife Laura Emma Smith were resident at this address, on their children's birth certificates of 15 May 1890 and 28 Dec 1885 for Nellie and Charles respectfully. William Walker died,  and this is supported by the move of Laura, mum and Charles and Nellie to Ashmore Road by the 1891 census.  *

Florence Collins (my great grandmother) is the daughter of James & Harriet Collins of The Giraffe, Newington. I'm assuming this is the Harriet mentioned here but it could be her daughter of the same name. She is also husband of Thomas Stanley Foster of The Artichoke, Camberwell. She is lastly,  the Mrs Florence Foster at the Beech Tree, Bromley, where she survived the pub being hit by a Doodlebug. This was apparently rather better than the current  pub, which I'm told is now a shadow of the original building. ***
