Thomas Gilroy owned the Southampton Arms, at 21 Nine Elms with his sister Vera Gilroy in 1944.
I don’t know exactly when they took on or left The Southampton Arms (his ownership crossed over with taking on the Prince of Orange in Plumstead from 1944-52 with his wife); but Thomas and his sister Vera were both definitely joint owners in 1942 as my great aunt had her child there in 1942. **

My grandparents Thomas & Sheila Gilroy later took over the Kings Head at Merton in 1952 until 1964.**
