In 1851 census at Upper Green are John Fagetter, Victualler, aged 33 and his wife Sarah, also aged 33 plus daughters, Elizabeth, aged 14, Jane, aged 11 and Mary aged 10, plus Lola aged 3 months. Their servant Elizabeth Moore is 17, and a House Servant. Also an Man Swrvant called William Simmonds, aged 30, and a Lodger and Tailor, Thomas Barefoot, aged 51.
The 1855 directory lists just John Faggetter, at the White Horse, and he is also a bricklayer
The 1861 census lists John Faggetter as a victualler and builder at Pirbright Village, presumably the White Horse (see later note about the White Hart). He is aged 43, and his wife, Sarah is the same age.
They have a number of children, Mary is a servant, and aged 21, Lola is 10, Walter is 9, and Ruth is 8 years old. Also a servant, Joseph Hammond, aged 31, and a Lodging labourer, Benjamin Martin, aged 68. All are born in Pirbright.
Incidentally, in 1867, J Faggeter is at the White Hart in Pirbright, and suggests the name may be incorrect in the earlier directory.
In 1871 at the White Hart are John Faggeter, Publican, aged 51, his wife Sarah, ahed 51 and daughter Lola, aged 29 and son Walter, a Carpenter, aged 19; plus John Howard, Servant and Carter, aged 26.
John Faggeter dies in 1873, aged 55 years. Buried 25th July 1873.
The 1881 census notes the White Hart Inn, and John Oliver Lovelock is the Inn Keeper, aged 33 born Flexford, along with his wife Laura, aged 23 born in Bisley, and his sister Maria Hellen Lovelock, a barmaid, aged 39, born in Worplesdown.
In 1901, Edward Goddard is the Publican at the White Hart, aged 59, and born in Alton, Hampshire. His wife, Emma Goddard, is a year younger, and also born in Alton.
Their daughters, born in Pirbright, are Ada, aged 21, Fanny, aged 19 and Minnie, aged 13.

In 1924, Edward Goddard of the White Hart Hotel Pirbright Surrey died 20 March 1924 to James Goddard gardener and Tom Hall solicitors clerk. Effects £1800 0s 11d.
