Hastings pub history index
The building and those either side of it have been in use as a cafe/restaurant under various names/ownership for many years. *** This pub was established in 1852 as the York Tavern. Because another York Tavern was opened nearby, this pub was renamed the Freemasons Inn in 1854, whilst its rival became the York Hotel. It closed in 1958 and is now in café use. **
