The licensee of the Cock Inn, Southwater, Mr John Brown, died suddenly at his home on Friday.
He had been in the licensed trade for about nine years and before taking over the Cock Inn, he had run the Michel Arms, in Springfield road, Horsham.
He is survived by a widow and two sons.
