Previously the Railway Coffee House, becoming the Refreshment Inn by 1846, and by 1858 the North Eastern Refreshment Inn; and eventually the Grapes by 1881 after the centre of railway activity had moved to a new station outside the walls. It became a Grade II listed building in 1954. *HM .
