I believe that this was the white Hart listed in the 1861 census at 64 Lower Kennington lane. This was not the White Hart, Kennington Cross which later became 185 Lower Kennington lane.

Thomas Foster was my Great Great Grandfather. He had the Camberwell Arms in the 1871 census as well as 1881. In 1859, at the White Hart where his son is born. And again in 1861 he was a Beer Retailer at 64 Kennington Lane, the White Hart. Later, in the 1891 census, his son Arthur Bradwell Foster (my Great Grandfather) had the City of Norwich at 7 Maygood Street Islington; whilst Thomas was at a restaurant in Sevenoaks. *

My Great Great Grandparents William and Elizabeth Govier were resident at, and ran the Royal George Pub, 132 Lower Kennington Lane, Lambeth, London for at least 10 years. They are listed at this address in both the 1901 and 1911 census's. I can send copies of the census to you if you would like it. William died in 1915 aged 59. ***

William Govier is previously at 330 Kings Road in 1891 - 92, then at 140 Central Street, St Lukes in 1895, and at the Royal George, Lower Kennington Lane by 1899.
