Mr. TOMPKINS has been favoured by with instructions from the Executors of
the late Mr. James Pither, Coachbuilder, to sell by Auction , at the George
Hotel, Reading, on Tuesday, November 12th, 1872, at Two for Three o'clock in
the afternoon, subject to certain Conditions of Sale severable very
desirable, well built DWELLING HOUSES, INN, and PREMISES: also a Plot of
Building LAND in Oxford-street, and a Coach-Builder's Shop, particularized
as follows:-
TWO very compact and substantially-built DWELLING HOUSES, situate in
Oxford-street, Reading, numbered respectively 79, and 81, with gardens in
rear, each house having frontage to Oxford-street of 16 feet, and a depth of
89 feet. No.79 is in hand, and No. 81 is let to a respectable tenant at the
moderate rent of £22 per annum.
The plot of Land adjoins the last mentioned Dwelling Houses, and embraces a
similar frontage to Oxford-street of 16 feet, and a depth of 89 feet.
A very desirable well built Freehold INN or Public-house, known as the
"BEDFORD ARMS," situate and being No.28 in Bedford Road, standing in a
commanding position close to Oxford-street, well arranged with bars, bar
parlour, tap-room with side entrance, sitting room, bedrooms and good
cellarage and coal yard attached, in the occupation of Mr. James House, at
the moderate annual rent of £25,
A compact six-roomed Freehold DWELLING HOUSE adjoining the "Bedford Arms."
