Kent in 1882, the Kent 1882 Post Office Directory Listing

This information could be useful in tracking the Publicans in the 1881 census. You need to be aware that Trade Directories were often out of date, and therefore the information for 1882 probably refers to 1880 / 1881. I can only imagine that many Publicans and Licensed Victuallers also moved into London, as also,  parts of the area of Kent become part of the London area.

This is a work in progress, but I would welcome any useful information that you can add, particularly pictures and photographs. These can be old postcards or modern photographs, all are welcome; plus any interesting stories about your Publican families etc etc.
